My printer is very low on ink. I just enabled by inta ink account but when I am looking on the HP Smart web page at my printer is says ink cartridge status: cartridge error. (Either a cartridge is not installed or there is an issue with the installed cartridge. Replace or clean the cartridge to resolve the issue—you will not receive ink shipments until the error is resolved.) I have tried turning the printer off and back on again, taking the cartridges out and cleaning them and I have tried to check to see if the web service is enabled but can't find the setting on the printer to make sure it is enabled. Can anyone tell me what else to do so that the HP Smart site and read my ink level?

Thanks for sharing the email address.
Upon checking your account details I see the printer is offline; hence, there is the cartridge error.
It sounds frustrating to deal with a cartridge error on your HP Envy 6500e, especially when you've just enabled Instant Ink. Since you've already tried cleaning and reseating the cartridges, here are some additional steps to resolve the issue:
1. Check Web Services Status
- Print a Network Configuration Page to find your printer’s IP address.
- Open a web browser and enter the IP address in the URL bar.
- Navigate to Settings > Web Services.
- If Web Services is disabled, enable it and restart the printer.
2. Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it for 60 seconds.
- Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
3. Update Printer Firmware
- Visit the HP Support page and download the latest firmware update.
https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16 - Install the update and restart the printer.
Let me know if any of these steps help! 😊
Thanks,
Hawks_Eye
