I'd like to help!

 

The differences are mentioned below

HP 905XL is a High Yield Black / Color Original Ink Cartridge. Page yield black and white and color are ~825 pages -High Capacity Ink Cartridges

 

HP 905 Black/Color Original Ink Cartridge is a Standard Capacity Ink Cartridges - Page yield black and white / color are ~300 pages.
