I want a simple way to know how much ink is in each color and black ---how ?

I understand you would like to know how to check the ink levels on the printer.

They are multiple ways to check ink levels on the printer, below are a few suggestions -

1)You may check the ink levels using the printer control panel -

Many HP printers display ink and toner levels on the control panel.

Look for an Ink drop icon ( or ), a Cartridge icon , an Ink Levels menu, or a Toner Level indicator.

2)You may check the ink levels using printer software -

Printer software: Search Windows for your printer model name and number, and then click the printer name to open HP Printer Assistant. Click Estimated Ink Levels.
