Hi,
Im using
printer:
color laserjet pro MFP M281fdw
paper:
HP Everyday Photo Paper A4 200g/m^2 Glossy
Issue:
- when I go into settings using any software I dont have any option which is 'HP Glossy Photo paper 200g' so I have been experimenting a little and searching online but images still have flaws comming out of the printer. see image below for the options presented to me when selecting 'media type' under 'paper/quality' menu:
- I have attached a snippet of an image I was trying to print (on the afforementioned paper) and you can see these white markings which seems like the ink is smudged off or not deposited. This didnt happen during the first print, but every print afterwards this happens to varying degree. Also doesn't happen when I print document (text) on "regular" paper Why does this happen. see image below.
many thanks.

This seems to e the correct option, be sure to select it for the printer too when loading the paper, both the driver and the printer settings should be changed for the paper type.
From the printer screen select Setup > System setup > Paper tray and select the specific tray (Try 1 would be the top priority tray and Tray 2 the paper draw), then change the Paper Type for the printer and confirm, then ensure the same selected within the print dialog and print.

Hi,
HP Everyday Photo Paper is intended for Inkjet printers, it is not intended to be used with laser printers and therefore you experience a such:

You would need to get a media intended for Laser printers to use with your printer.

Hi,
thanks for the input, I completely missed that! very annoying as I was sure I picked up one for laserjets.
But I am still confused about the options for my printer,
according to the product specs I should be able to use photo paper with this printer:
Media types: Paper (bond, brochure, colored, glossy, heavy, letterhead, light, photo, plain, preprinted, prepunched, recycled, rough), transparencies, labels, envelopes, cardstock
what phtoto paper is available for hp laserjet, I found this one?
and again, what should I select for the 'media type' in printer menu (when I have correct paper)?
thanks,
pjf

So in response ot my own comment, I found locally a laser printable paper:
HP Professional Business paper (7MV83A), glossy, 200g/m^2.
now the issue is to match it with correct 'media type' setting. I am assuming it is going to be 'HP Brochure Glossy 200 g'.
