Hi @Turnerronda0 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Dealing with a jammed ink cartridge can be frustrating, but there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the issue. Here's a guide to help you troubleshoot the problem with your HP DeskJet 3772 printer:
Turn off the printer: Before attempting any troubleshooting, make sure the printer is turned off to prevent any accidents or damage.
Open the cartridge access door: Locate the cartridge access door on your printer and open it. This door is typically on the front or top of the printer.
Manually move the carriage: Gently move the carriage (the part that holds the ink cartridges) to the center of the printer. Ensure there is no paper or debris blocking its movement.
Check for obstructions: Inspect the area around the ink cartridge for any obstructions. It's possible that a small piece of paper or debris is preventing the cartridge from moving freely.
Release the cartridge lock: Look for a lever or latch that secures the ink cartridge in place. It's usually located on the side of the cartridge. Release the lock by pushing it away from the cartridge.
Try to remove the cartridge: Once the lock is released, gently try to remove the jammed ink cartridge. Be careful not to force it. If it's still stuck, you may need to wiggle it slightly while pulling.
Check the black lever: If the black lever is stuck, try to gently move it with your fingers. Ensure that there is no debris or dried ink preventing its movement.
Inspect for damage: Check the ink cartridge and the surrounding area for any signs of damage. If the cartridge is damaged.
Power cycle the printer: After resolving the jam, turn the printer off, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can help reset the printer and clear any error messages.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
