Hi @sheryll5,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
We understand you're experiencing a "Supply System Problem" after replacing both black and color ink cartridges in your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e. This message can be alarming, especially after installing fresh supplies, but we’re here to guide you back to smooth, uninterrupted printing.
1. Remove and Reinsert Cartridges
Sometimes the printer fails to recognize cartridges correctly on the first install.
- Power on the printer.
- Open the cartridge access door.
- Gently remove all ink cartridges.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Reinsert them one by one, ensuring each clicks into place.
- Close the lid and allow the printer to recalibrate.
If prompted again with the same error, continue to the next step.
2. Use Original HP Ink Cartridges
Ensure you're using genuine HP ink cartridges. The 9025e requires:
- HP 962 or HP 962XL series ink
Using third-party or refilled cartridges may trigger this error. Check each cartridge for:
- HP logo and serial numbers
- No tape or obstruction on copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles
3. Clean the Cartridge and Printer Contacts
Dirt, ink residue, or smudges can cause recognition errors.
You’ll need:
- A lint-free cloth
- Filtered water or isopropyl alcohol
Steps:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the ink cartridges.
- Lightly dampen the cloth.
- Gently wipe the copper-colored contacts on each cartridge.
- Clean the corresponding contacts inside the printer.
- Wait 5 minutes to dry.
- Reinstall cartridges and power the printer back on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
