Hi @CBW86

Welcome to the HP Support Community! Thanks for posting your query!

We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how confusing it must be to see a “continuous ink” message when you’re using cartridges in your OfficeJet Pro 8715.

Before we move into any reset steps, it will help to gather a clearer picture of your setup so we can isolate the cause properly.

Could you let me know:

  • Are you using standard HP cartridges or Instant Ink subscription cartridges?
  • Did this message appear after a recent firmware update, cartridge replacement, or any change in your setup?
  • Is the printer currently connected via Wi‑Fi, USB, or Ethernet?
  • Do you see this message on the printer’s control panel, in the HP App on your computer, or both?
  • Have you tried reseating the cartridges or checking if they are recognized individually?

With these details, we can narrow down whether the issue is related to cartridge recognition, software communication, or a configuration mismatch.

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
