Hi @DonGarcia,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP LaserJet Pro M255dw is printing in a reduced size, which could be due to incorrect page size or scaling settings. To fix this issue, follow these steps.

Check Print Settings on Your Computer:

  • Open the document you are trying to print.
  • Go to File > Print.
  • In the print dialog box, check the Page Setup or Preferences.
  • Ensure that the Page Size is set to Letter (8.5" x 11").
  • Make sure that the Scaling is set to None or 100%. Sometimes, settings like "Fit to Page" can shrink the printout.

Check Printer's Control Panel Settings:

  • On the printer's display panel, go to the Settings or Setup menu.
  • Navigate to Paper Setup or Print Preferences.
  • Ensure that the paper size is set to Letter and not a different size (like A4 or Custom).

Reset Printer to Default Settings:

  • To perform a reset, turn off the printer.
  • Hold the Cancel button (or the button with a red "X") while turning the printer back on. Hold it until you see the reset option on the display.
  • Follow the prompts to reset the printer to factory defaults.

Check the Printer Driver Settings:

  • Go to the Control Panel (on your computer), then select Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP LaserJet Pro M255dw and select Printing Preferences.
  • Check that the paper size and scaling are set to Letter and None or 100% scaling.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • If the problem persists, check for a firmware update for your printer. Visit HP's official support page to see if there is a newer firmware version available for your model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
