Earlier posts on this subject are interesting but disappointing in not being able to get a definitive response on how to get a replacement toner cartridge from HP under their lifetime warranty claim, stated clearly on the box which I still have, even though the date on the box is 2003.
The age of the product should not matter if lifetime is what it it says (and means until toner exhausted). I use this printer (Laserjet 1100) only occasionally and now I have a problem with its C4092A cartridge which now gives prints with a grey (very grey!) background and have wasted hours trying to find an HP contact to get a replacement. Is there a definitive contact in the UK from whom I can get satisfaction?
The high cost of buying a replacement prompts me to pursue the warranty because clearly there is plenty of toner left in the cartridge.
Any positive advice will be appreciated

Hi @Geordie_Lad,
I’d recommend you contact HP Phone Support in your region regarding toner replacements
Follow the instructions below to reach them:
1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.
6)Fill the web-form and proceed further.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Have a great day!

Hi Jay_G24,
Is there any feedback on my follow--up message (although I can't see my message; I hope you got it)?
I'd welcome any advice on how to get a replacement under warranty - even though the cartridge is quite old.
Kind regards.
