hp printer 7740

i have a windows upgraded to windows  10 , but my 7740 printer has been working lovely but out of no where today its been printing faded lines on anything i print but in sections,  this is highly annoying because i print my art and sell , i need this fixed . does anyone have any ideas . cant afford a new one right now. tried cleaning everything and everything it said, i did read to take the printhead out and put it in water for 10 mins but idk if i really want to do that

 I'd like to help!

 

To better assist you - 

 

1) Does the copy print out the same way? 

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device? 

 

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page

  1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .

  3. Swipe up on the display, touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further. 

 

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer -  Print Quality Issues

 

 Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
