Hi @Portkey,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing an issue with your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fnw, where there are many vertical black lines down the center of the page when air printing or making flatbed copies. This could be caused by various factors, and here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check the Toner Cartridges: Ensure that the toner cartridges are properly installed and not empty. If a toner cartridge is low or empty, it may cause printing issues.

Clean the Scanner Glass: If you're seeing lines on flatbed copies, there might be dirt or debris on the scanner glass. Clean the glass thoroughly with a lint-free cloth.

Update Printer Drivers: Make sure that your printer drivers are up to date. Visit the official HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model. Click Here

Calibrate the Printer: Many printers have a calibration or cleaning function. Check your printer's user manual for instructions on how to calibrate or clean the print heads.

If the printed output has colored shadows, blurry graphics, or areas that have poor color, you might need to calibrate the product to align the colors. Print the diagnostics page from the Reports menu on the control panel to check the color alignment. If the blocks of color on that page are not aligned with each other, you need to calibrate the product.

LCD control panel:

  • On the product control panel, press the Setup button.
  • Open the following menus:
  • System Setup
  • Print Quality
  • Calibrate Color
  • Select the Calibrate Now option, and then press the OK button.
  • Touchscreen control panel
  • From the Home screen on the product control panel, touch the Setup button.
  • Open the following menus:
  • System Setup
  • Print Quality
  • Color Calibration
  • Select the Calibrate Now option, and then press the OK button.

Inspect the Fuser: The fuser in the printer may be dirty or damaged. Check your printer's user manual for guidance on how to inspect and clean the fuser.

Print a Diagnostic Page: Most printers have a diagnostic or test page option. Print a diagnostic page to see if the issue persists. This can help identify whether the problem is with the printer itself or the printing source.

Check AirPrint Settings: If you're experiencing issues with AirPrint, ensure that your iOS device and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You may also want to restart both the printer and your iOS device.

I request you to please check the link here this link has all the detailed troubleshooting.
