hp deskjet inkadvantage 2135

I have an hp desk jet ink advantage 2135, and recently whenever i try to replace the black ink cartridge it says

incompatible ink cartridges: Black. The cartridges listed above are not intended for use in this printer as it is currently configured.

 even though i only use original hp 664 ink advantage cartridges.

I have tried unplugging the power cord from the printer, with the printer still on, then from the wall, waited 60 seconds and then plugged  back to the wall and this didn't solve the problem.Then i tried to clean the electrical contacts as specified here https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05365403 but also had no luck in getting the issue fixed.

I've also tried updating the firmware but had nothing to update.

I NEED help.
