My HP printer isn't printing all the lines clearly.  Some random lines are faded, a tad blurry.  Why?  I just changed 2 cartridges in the last week. The other 2 are low BUT NOT empty.  I took all cartridges out and put them back in.  Then did it again but shook each gently.  Still prints the same way. What else can I try?

@kszhill, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand the print quality is not good. Did you align the printer after replacing the ink cartridges?

  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
  • Try making a standalone copy from the flatbed glass and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
  • Are you using HP ink cartridges?

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - Fixing Poor Print Quality

If alignment is not done, do the same as shown in this document - Alignment errors

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
