Hi @BR620,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Replacing the black ink cartridge in your HP OfficeJet 8015 is a straightforward process. Here’s how you can do it.
Turn on your printer: Ensure your printer is turned on.
Open the ink cartridge access door: Lift the ink cartridge access door located on the front right of the printer.
Wait for the carriage to stop moving: The ink cartridge carriage will move into view, allowing you to access the cartridges.
Remove the old cartridge:
- Press down gently on the top of the cartridge you want to replace to release it.
- Pull the cartridge out of its slot towards you.
Prepare the new cartridge:
- Take the new black ink cartridge out of its packaging.
- Remove the plastic tape using the pull tab, being careful not to touch the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles.
Install the new cartridge:
- Slide the new cartridge into the correct slot at a slight upward angle until it clicks into place.
- Ensure that the cartridge is securely installed.
Close the ink cartridge access door: Lower the ink cartridge access door until it clicks into place.
Align the printer: If prompted by the printer software, align the cartridges to ensure optimal print quality.
Dispose of the old cartridge: You can recycle the old cartridge through HP's Planet Partners program or another recycling program.
That’s it! Your HP OfficeJet 8015 printer should now be ready to use with the new black ink cartridge installed.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
