need to return an incorrectly shipped ink cartridge

HP sent me a black ink cartridge after I had called them to stop my instant ink plan. what does HP want me to do with this cartridge

Good question - and there is an answer:

All Instant Ink / Subscription cartridges remain the property of HP.

For example,

Part of the Cancellation procedure reminds the customer to remove all Instant Ink cartridges from the printer and replace them with a set of new HP ink cartridges.

The cartridges removed from the printer and others that are / were part of the Instant Ink service can (should) be sent back to HP.

Recycle HP Instant Ink Cartridges / Subscription Cartridges
