I got this printer and have not been able to use it yet.  The test print sheet shows the black ink only prints half a line.  IMG_20220928_123129888.jpg

Hi @454581,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

I understand the printer printing half lines. Let's try some steps to help you.

Update the software and drivers

I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

When was the last time it worked fine?

Were there any hardware/software changes made?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

Let's try these steps to resolve the issue: Click here

Step 1: Use genuine HP ink cartridges

Step 2: Make sure you are using the appropriate paper for your print job

Step 3: Check the print settings

Step 6: Align the printer

Step 7: Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page (Send a picture of the page)

Step 9: Clean the ink cartridges

Step 10: Manually clean the area around the ink nozzles

Step 11: Replace the problem ink cartridge

Let me know how this goes,

Cheers!
