HP Recommended

I have a HP Envy 6052e printer which was purchased one year ago. I inserted a new black cartridge delivered from HP, which is 67/305. I printed and the paper was blank. I checked the ink settings and the black cartridge was full. I turned off the printer. Then later I removed the cartridges and put the original cartridge back, it can print. And I noticed the original cartridge 67 or 67XL is small. Why the delivered cartridge is different, and how to get it work. Thanks
