Hi @Kevin636,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9019/Premier All-In-One Printer is only printing in black and white despite having full ink cartridges and indicating that it's working, there could be several potential issues you might want to check:
- Printer Settings: First, ensure that your printer settings are configured correctly to allow color printing. Sometimes, printers can default to black and white mode, especially if you're printing documents that are formatted in grayscale. Check the printer settings on your computer to ensure that color printing is enabled.
- Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have installed the correct printer drivers for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9019/Premier printer on your Windows 11 computer. Outdated or incompatible drivers could lead to printing issues, including a lack of color output.
- Printer Configuration: Check the printer configuration directly on the device itself. Many printers offer on-screen menus that allow you to check ink levels, adjust settings, and perform maintenance tasks. Ensure that the printer is not set to a monochrome or grayscale mode.
- Ink Cartridge Installation: Double-check that the ink cartridges are correctly installed in the printer. Sometimes, improper installation can lead to printing issues. Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges to ensure they are properly seated.
- Printer Calibration: Perform a printer calibration if available in the printer settings or through the printer's control panel. Calibration helps ensure that the printer can accurately reproduce colors.
- Print Head Alignment: If the above steps don't resolve the issue, try performing a print head alignment. This process helps ensure that the print heads are correctly aligned, which can impact color printing quality.
- Software Updates: Ensure that both your printer firmware and your printer driver software are up to date. Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve compatibility issues and improve printing performance.
