Hi @rbalajienator,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing an issue where your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515 printer is not printing, and you're only seeing blank pages come out.

Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

1. Check the Ink Cartridges

  • Ensure Cartridges Are Installed Correctly: Open the printer's cartridge access door and make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed.
  • Check Ink Levels: Make sure that the ink cartridges are not empty. If they are low or empty, replace them with new ones.
  • Clean Cartridges: Sometimes, dried ink can block the nozzles. Use the printer's built-in cleaning function, which you can usually find in the printer's settings menu.

2. Check Paper Settings

  • Verify Paper Type and Size: Ensure that the paper size and type settings in your print settings match what you have loaded in the printer.
  • Paper Alignment: Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray and that the paper guides are properly adjusted.

3. Check Printer Connection

  • USB Connection: If you are using a USB connection, ensure that the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
  • Network Connection: If you're using a wireless connection, check that the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.

4. Check Printer Queue and Default Settings

  • Clear Print Queue: Sometimes, stuck print jobs can cause issues. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select See what's printing. Cancel any stuck print jobs.
  • Set as Default Printer: Make sure your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515 is set as the default printer. Right-click on the printer icon in Devices and Printers and select Set as default printer.

5. Run Printer Troubleshooter

  • Windows 11 Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters and select Printer. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.

6. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Update Drivers: Go to Device Manager (right-click on Start menu and select Device Manager), find your printer under Printers, right-click on it, and select Update driver.
  • Reinstall Drivers: Visit the HP support website to download and install the latest drivers for your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515.

7. Check Printer Settings in Application

  • Print Dialog Box: Ensure that the settings in the print dialog box of the application you're using are correct (e.g., paper size, print quality).

8. Perform a Printer Reset

  • Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

9. Firmware Update Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Check for Firmware Updates: Occasionally, a firmware update might be needed. Check HP’s website for any available updates for your printer model.

I hope this helps.
