Printer won't work. Replaced black ink cartridge that was low, still didn't work, said problem with ink system, replaced cyan cartridge because it was low (not out of ink), now it says one or more cartridges appear to be damaged.

Hi @Print90,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer using the power button.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the printer and turn it back on.
Check and Reinstall Cartridges:
- Open the printer's cartridge access door.
- Remove the cartridges and inspect them for any signs of damage.
- Reinstall the cartridges, ensuring they are firmly seated in their slots.
- Close the access door and check if the error persists.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the cartridge access door and remove the cartridges.
- Gently clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water.
- Let the contacts dry completely.
- Reinstall the cartridges, close the access door, and turn on the printer.
Use Genuine HP Cartridges:
- Ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges. Non-HP or counterfeit cartridges might cause compatibility issues.
- If you suspect the cartridges are not genuine, replace them with new, original HP cartridges.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Check for and install any available firmware updates for your printer. These updates can sometimes fix recognition and compatibility issues with cartridges.
I hope this helps.
