Hello
I own an HP Envy 6000 printer, with genuine cartridges used.
Yesterday I was only able to print 7 photos before the message appeared saying I was out of ink.
Was this due to faulty cartridges or a setting issue. Any assistance appreciated
Thank you

Which size of the photos ? Are they A4 sheets ?
Your printer use HP 67 ink cartridges with page yield of 120 sheets (ISO standard). That means in general, with page 5% text coverage you can print 120 pages.
Printing photo, normally printer covers 100% of a sheet that means printer uses 20 times more inks. 120/20 = 6, therefore 7 photos is roughly right.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
