Hi @PETEDAVIS,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing poor print quality with your HP Officejet Pro 8610, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Ink Levels: Make sure your ink cartridges have enough ink. Low ink levels can result in poor print quality.

Clean Printhead: Your printer might have a clogged printhead. Most printers have a utility for cleaning the printhead. Refer to your printer's manual or HP's website for instructions on how to do this.

Alignment: Run a printhead alignment process. This ensures that the printer is properly aligning the ink onto the paper.

Paper Quality: Ensure you're using the appropriate paper for your print job. Low-quality paper can result in poor print quality.

Update Drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers and firmware installed for your printer. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing issues.

Check for Updates: Check if there are any updates available for your printer's firmware. Sometimes, firmware updates can improve print quality.

Replace Ink Cartridges: If none of the above steps work, try replacing the ink cartridges. Sometimes, old or faulty cartridges can cause print quality issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
