In my printer, I have color mismatch issue.
While printing color pages the output wasn't same as in document, like wise printing color documents in black and white mode, instead of black ink the printer gives some colored ink in that place

Hi @Santhosh_D2004,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Color Mismatch in HP Smart Tank 520 All-in-One Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Use Genuine HP Ink:

  • Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP cartridges, which might cause print quality issues.

Check Print Settings:

  • For color documents, verify the print settings in your application. Ensure that the settings match your desired output:
    • Go to "File" > "Print" in the application you're using.
    • Click "Printer Properties" or "Preferences."
    • Check settings like paper type, print quality, and color options.

Adjust Color Management:

  • If colors do not match the screen output, ensure that the printer is set to use the sRGB color space or any recommended color profile.
  • Select "Color Management" in the printer driver and make necessary adjustments.

Black and White Printing Issue:

  • If printing in black and white mode results in unexpected colors, check the "Color Mode" settings in the printer driver:
    • Select "Grayscale using Black only" to ensure only the black ink is used.

Perform a Printhead Cleaning:

  • Sometimes printheads may need cleaning to ensure optimal ink delivery:
    • On the printer control panel, navigate to settings for printhead cleaning.

Check and Align Printhead:

  • Misalignment can cause color issues. Use the printer's maintenance settings to align the printhead if necessary.

Update Printer Software:

  • Ensure that your printer software and driver are updated to the latest version available for Windows 11.

Use Recommended Paper:

  • Make sure you’re using a suitable paper type, such as HP Advanced Photo Paper or paper with ColorLok technology for best results.

I hope this helps.
