HP Color Laserjet MFP M282nw
I have access to the screen " Print Density " after typing the IP address of my printer in the address line on my computer . But changing the values for contrast and shadows for the different colours has no effects on the pictures on my prints .

@RobVdW,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you have made changes to the print settings on the EWS page but it does not reflect on output pages.
Check the print settings on the app used to print. For more info on adjusting print density: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06431905.pdf refer to page Improve print quality 123. To resolve print quality issues, refer to - Fixing Poor Print Quality
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

Hello ,
Thank you for your help . I did read the ' Improve print quality ' chapter but found nothing there . I print from MS-Word 2016 ( text + pictures ) . Recently I did manage to get a satisfying print , by changing less parameters . The first time I did decrease contrast and shadows , as my shadows were to dark . I'm beginning to think that maybe the two changes did cancel each other ( but on the other hand one should expect that a decrease in contrast and a decrease in shadows work in the same direction : lighter shadows , so maybe the first time I did something else wrong ). Well , I've got the print I want , and I'm no longer searching for a solution to this ( maybe not existing ) problem .
But thanks again ,
RobVdW .
