Hi @wilfajr,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Lines on printed pages often indicate issues with the printer's print heads or cartridges. Here are some steps to help resolve this issue.
- Check Ink Levels: Ensure that your ink or toner cartridges are not low. Replace any that are running low.
- Clean the Print Heads: Most HP printers have a built-in utility for cleaning the print heads. You can usually find this in the printer's settings or maintenance menu. Running this utility can often clear up any clogs or issues.
- Align the Print Heads: After cleaning, it's a good idea to run an alignment. This process ensures the print heads are properly positioned for optimal print quality. This option is also found in the printer's maintenance menu.
- Check for Software Updates: Make sure your printer's firmware and drivers are up to date. Sometimes, updates can fix bugs or improve print quality.
- Inspect the Print Heads Manually: If cleaning and aligning don't solve the problem, you might need to manually inspect the print heads. Look for any dried ink or debris and gently clean it with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
- Print in Different Quality Modes: Sometimes, changing the print quality settings can help. Try printing in a higher quality mode to see if the lines disappear.
- Check Paper Quality: Ensure you are using the correct type of paper for your printer and that the paper is not damaged or dirty.
- Replace Cartridges: If all else fails, try replacing the ink or toner cartridges with new ones. Sometimes cartridges can be faulty or have issues that are not resolved by cleaning.
If you've tried all these steps and still see lines, there may be a more serious hardware issue with your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
