Hi @deerbam,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your printer shows a cartridge error and won’t print even though Instant Ink is already enrolled. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.
    a. Check Instant Ink Cartridge Installation
Make sure both Instant Ink cartridges are correctly installed and fully seated in their slots.
Remove and reinsert each cartridge, ensuring you hear a firm click when locking it in place.
    b. Clean Cartridge Contacts
Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
Gently remove the cartridges and clean the copper-colored contacts using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
Let the cartridges dry for a few minutes before reinstalling them.
    c. Verify Instant Ink Enrollment Status
Go to your HP Smart account and check that the printer still shows as enrolled and active under Instant Ink.
If it shows as not connected or inactive, sign out of the HP Smart app, sign back in, and reconnect the printer to your account.
    d. Check Network Connection
Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device.
Instant Ink printers require an active internet connection to verify cartridge status.
    e. Perform a Printer Reset
Unplug the printer from the wall outlet while it’s powered on.
Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.
Check if the normal home or dashboard screen appears.
I hope this helps.
