my printer does not recognize my HP ink cartridges

I understand that your HP DeskJet 2755e is not recognizing the ink cartridges. Let's go through some quick checks to resolve this issue.

 

A few questions to better understand the problem:

  1. Are you using genuine HP ink cartridges, or are they third-party/refilled cartridges?
  2. Did the issue start right after installing a new cartridge, or has it been working fine before?
  3. Do you see any specific error messages on the printer’s display or your computer?

Meanwhile, try these steps:

 

  1. Check Cartridge Compatibility – Ensure you are using HP-recommended cartridges for the DeskJet 2755e.
  2. Reinsert the Cartridges – Remove the cartridges, gently clean the electrical contacts with a lint-free cloth, and reinstall them securely.
  3. Restart the Printer – Power off the printer, unplug it for about 60 seconds, then turn it back on.
  4. Update Printer Firmware – Check for firmware updates using the HP Smart app or HP Support website.
  5. Reset the Printer – Unplug the printer for a few minutes and then reconnect it to see if the issue persists.
