my printer is not printing anything in color. i used the print quality diagnostic, none of the color are showing on there, not even a little bit. so i used the clean cartridges tool and still got nothing. it recommended me to do a second clean and i did, but still nothing. My app says my color ink cartridge is at 80% full. my black ink works great and i dont know what the issue is.

@EVA617, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Color Printing Issues on HP OfficeJet 5212 All-in-One Printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like you've already taken some great steps in trying to resolve the issue with your HP OfficeJet 5212 printer. Since your color inks are not showing up in the print quality diagnostics and the cleaning tools didn't work, there may be a few other things to try:
Check for Cartridge Compatibility and Installation
- Ensure that you are using the correct HP ink cartridges for your printer model.
- Reinsert the color ink cartridge. Make sure it is properly seated and that the contacts are clean. Use a lint-free cloth to gently wipe the cartridge contacts.
Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn the printer off by pressing the power button.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.
- Turn the printer on by pressing the power button.
Use an Alternate Cleaning Method
Sometimes, the built-in cleaning tools may not be enough. You can try a manual cleaning:
- Remove the color ink cartridge.
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water to clean the gold-colored contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer.
- Allow the contacts to dry for about 10 minutes before reinserting the cartridge.
Align the Printheads
After cleaning, align the printheads to ensure they are properly calibrated:
- Go to the printer's control panel and navigate to the maintenance section.
- Select "Align Printheads" and follow the on-screen instructions.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
