Hi @cincer,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've already taken some initial troubleshooting steps, which is great. Let's try a few more things.
- Check Ink Levels: Even if the cartridges seem fine, it's worth checking the ink levels through the printer's control panel or software. Make sure they're not empty or critically low.
- Run a Cleaning Cycle: Most printers have a utility to run a cleaning cycle. This can help clear any clogged nozzles or other issues that might be affecting print quality.
- Check Print Settings: Ensure that your print settings are configured correctly. Sometimes, the printer might be set to draft mode or grayscale, which can result in faint printing. Make sure it's set to print in normal or high quality, and in color if you're printing a color document.
- Update Printer Drivers: Make sure your printer drivers are up to date. You can usually download the latest drivers from the HP website.
- Inspect the Printer Head: If you're comfortable doing so, you can inspect the printer head for any clogs or obstructions. Some printers allow you to remove the printer head for cleaning.
- Try Different Paper: Sometimes, the type or quality of paper can affect printing. Try using a different type or brand of paper to see if that makes a difference.
By going through these steps, you should be able to identify and hopefully resolve the issue with your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
