My printer is not printing out the blue. I have replaced the ink 3 different times in one month, cleaned the printheads multiple times after replacing the ink and still not working right. It stars printing all the colors for about 1 1/2 inches and then starts streaking (leaving blue streaks with yellow gaps) rest of the way down the page. I have made sure the ( t ) on the cartridge is clean and all visable. What do I do now?

Hi @Ginny17
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Envy 6022e printer is still having issues with streaking or missing colors (especially blue), despite multiple cartridge replacements and printhead cleanings. Since you've already done the common troubleshooting steps, there are a few deeper steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Troubleshooting Steps for Streaking or Missing Ink (Blue)
1. Perform a Deep Printhead Cleaning
The issue could be a deeper clog in the printhead that basic cleaning hasn't resolved. Some printers offer a more advanced "deep cleaning" option that can help remove stubborn clogs.
- Using HP Smart (Software):
- Open HP Smart on your computer.
- Go to the Printer Settings or Tools section.
- Look for an option labeled Clean Printhead or Deep Cleaning (this is usually more thorough than a regular cleaning).
- Follow the instructions to perform the deep cleaning.
2. Check for Ink Cartridge Issues
Even if the cartridge is new, it’s possible that there’s an issue with the ink cartridge itself, especially if it’s a third-party or refilled cartridge.
Inspect the New Cartridge:
- Remove the ink cartridge again and inspect it closely for any signs of damage or leaks.
- Ensure the copper-colored contacts on the cartridge are clean. Wipe them gently with a lint-free cloth to ensure no ink residue or debris is blocking communication with the printer.
- Double-check that the ink cartridge is seated correctly in its slot.
Try a Different Cartridge:
- If you're using a third-party cartridge, it could be defective or incompatible. Genuine HP cartridges are generally more reliable and offer better print quality, especially in terms of color accuracy and consistency.
- Even a brand-new cartridge can sometimes be faulty, so it may help to try a different genuine HP cartridge to rule out the cartridge being the problem.
3. Check for Clogged Nozzles
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
