HP Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer - D110a
Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to find ink levels on my HP Photosmart D110a printer.  When I use the HP Smart app for this printer, I get "Can't open printer EWS page" and "Printer Status Unavailable."  [This older printer still works very well otherwise.]

Hi @Jeannine44,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're encountering some difficulty accessing the ink levels of your HP Photosmart D110a printer through the HP Smart app.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot this issue:

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off your printer, wait for a few moments, and then turn it back on.
  • Check Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer and that both devices are on the same network.
  • Update Drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. You can visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your specific printer model. Software and Drivers for HP Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer - D110a
  • Use HP Printer Assistant: If the HP Smart app isn't working for you, try using the HP Printer Assistant software (if available for your printer model). This software may provide alternative ways to check ink levels and printer status.
  • Access Printer EWS Page Manually: If you're comfortable doing so, you can try accessing the Embedded Web Server (EWS) page of your printer manually. To do this, open a web browser and enter the IP address of your printer in the address bar. You can usually find the IP address of your printer by printing a network configuration page from the printer's control panel.
  • Check Ink Levels on Printer Screen: Some printers allow you to check ink levels directly from the printer's control panel. Navigate through the printer's menu options to see if there's an option to check ink levels.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
