Product: HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Printer

Printing blank pages. The present cartridges have only printed less than 30 pages, and the color hasn't been used at all. Now both say they are empty. Does ink actually evaporate or disappear it not used?

Check Ink Levels and Cartridge Health

Sometimes, ink levels may not reflect accurately due to cartridge or printer issues.

  • Open the HP Smart app or printer software on your computer.
  • Check the estimated ink levels.
  • If both cartridges show empty, even with minimal use, it could be a cartridge recognition issue.

Inspect the Cartridges

Remove both cartridges and inspect them:

  • Make sure the protective tape has been removed from the cartridges.
  • Check for any ink leakage or dried ink around the nozzles.
  • Reinstall the cartridges securely.

Run a Printhead Cleaning

Blank pages can result from clogged printheads. You can run a cleaning cycle from the printer software:

  • Open the HP printer software.
  • Go to Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.

Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can cause cartridge detection issues.

Check for Evaporation or Ink Loss

Ink can dry out or evaporate over time, especially if the printer is not used regularly or stored in a hot/dry environment. However, it’s unusual for both cartridges to show empty after printing fewer than 30 pages.
