My printer is connected to my laptop but every time I print, I get blank pages.  I have checked the ink levels.

Hi @pauline39,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 is printing blank pages despite having ink and being connected,

here are some troubleshooting steps to try:

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed and the protective tape has been removed.
  • Verify that the cartridges are not empty or dried out. Sometimes, even if ink levels appear fine, the cartridge might be faulty.

Clean Printheads:

  • Go to the printer's settings or use the HP Smart app to initiate a printhead cleaning cycle. This can help clear any blockages that might be preventing ink from being delivered to the paper.

Printhead Alignment:

  • Perform a printhead alignment through the printer’s settings or HP Smart app. Misalignment can sometimes cause printing issues.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer that might affect the printing process.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your laptop. Visit the HP website to download and install any available updates.
  • You might also want to uninstall and then reinstall the printer driver to ensure there are no software conflicts.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve minor issues.

Check Print Settings:

  • Ensure that the correct printer is selected in your print settings and that no special modes (like draft mode) are selected that might affect print quality.

Inspect the Printer for Errors:

  • Look for any error messages or indicators on the printer’s display that might give clues about the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
