I need to add multiple "HP LaserJet MFP M227fdw" Printers to the HP Smart app on my PC. All printers appear with the same name, so I can't differentiate them. How can I rename each printer?

Unfortunately,

HP Smart has never supported printer "nicknames" -- the capability was never added to the code.

The HP App - both Mobile and Windows versions -- includes the "rename" feature you seek in the Personalization section.

HP Smart - Windows - is in the process of being replaced with the HP App.

When the HP App is available in your region, you will have the opportunity to switch over.
