Product: HP OfficeJet 9012 All-in-One Printer

I ordered ink for my printer from ebay. When i put the cartidges in the printer, i got a message saying the cartridges have been blocked by the printer firmware bvcuz they contain a non hp chip. What does this mean?

HP Recommended

The message means the cartridges you have were not manufactured by HP, or using HP chips.  You will need to contact the seller for replacements.  If the cartridges were sold as genuine HP cartridges you may need to get eBay involved.
