@sunil3989, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer showing "busy"!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your printer displays a 'busy' error message, it typically means that the printer is currently processing another job or that a specific function is occupying the printer's resources. Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue:

Check Current Jobs:

  • Ensure that there are no pending print jobs in the queue. Clear any stuck print jobs by opening your computer's print queue and canceling them.

Restart the Printer:

  • Unplug the printer and then plug it back in. Turn it off and on to reset its internal components.

Check Connections:

  • Confirm that all cables are securely connected. If the printer is connected via USB, ensure that the port is functioning properly.

Check for Active Connections:

  • Make sure that there are no other devices or applications currently accessing the printer, such as scanning applications or multifunction features.

Printer Settings Verification:

  • Open the printer settings through your computer and ensure that it is set to the correct mode (e.g., print mode if you are trying to print).

Firmware Update:

  • Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve issues with busy errors related to system bugs.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
