Hi @dr_mar ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with the HP ENVY Inspire 7955e. It’s frustrating when a device isn’t working as expected, I am sorry to hear that.
Let’s try a few steps to see if we can resolve the issue:
Check Connections: Ensure that all cables are properly connected if you’re using a wired connection. For wireless printing, verify that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
Restart Devices: Restart your printer, computer, and router. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.
Check Ink Levels: Make sure that your ink cartridges have enough ink and are installed correctly. Replace any cartridges that might be empty or defective.
Update Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can download the latest drivers from HP’s website.
Run Printer Troubleshooter: On Windows, you can run the built-in printer troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Printer and then Run the troubleshooter.
Check Print Queue: Make sure there are no stuck print jobs in the queue:
- Open Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer and select See what’s printing.
- Cancel any stuck print jobs and try printing again.
Reset Printer: Perform a factory reset on your printer. Refer to the printer's manual or HP’s support site for instructions on how to do this.
Check for Error Messages: Look at the printer’s display for any error messages or warning lights and refer to the printer's manual for troubleshooting those specific issues.
Refer to this document: HP ENVY Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer User manual
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
