Hi @Bookewyrme,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Let’s get your HP printer printing again. while giving you the exact HP troubleshooting steps that really resolve “won’t print even though ink is full” issues.

1. First, confirm the basics (quick HP checks)

Even with “plenty of ink,” the printer may stop printing if:

  • Ink isn’t flowing to the printhead
  • One color cartridge isn’t seated
  • There’s a hidden paper fragment blocking movement
  • A print job is stuck in the queue

Let’s go step by step.

2. HP Power Reset (this solves many silent printing failures)

  1. With the printer ON, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer
  2. Unplug from the wall
  3. Wait 60 seconds
  4. Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds
  5. Plug it back in → turn it on

You should hear a deeper warm‑up sound, like the printer is “stretching awake.”

3. Try printing a Self-Test Page directly from the printer

This bypasses the computer.

On most HP printers:

Press and hold the Information (i) button
OR
Go to Setup → Reports → Printer Status Report

What happens?

  • If it prints → the printer hardware is healthy, and the issue is with the computer/app.
  • If it does NOT print → the printhead or ink system is blocked.

Tell me the result, it helps me diagnose immediately.

4. Clean the printhead (ink may be blocked even with a full tank)

Ink can dry inside the nozzles or the sponge, causing blank pages.

On the printer:

Setup → Tools → Clean Printhead

Run Level 1
If still not printing → run Level 2

You might hear stronger cleaning sounds; that’s the ink system clearing itself.

5. Clear the print queue on your computer

Sometimes jobs get “stuck” and freeze all printing.

Windows:

  1. Search Printers & Scanners
  2. Click your HP printer
  3. Click Open Print Queue
  4. Right‑click → Cancel All

Try printing again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
