Hi @shellyT751,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The E0 error code on the HP DeskJet 2852e All-in-One Printer typically indicates an issue with the ink cartridges. When using non-HP ink cartridges, such as ONN compatible ink cartridges, your printer might not recognize them, leading to errors.

Here are the steps to resolve the E0 error:

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are correctly installed.
  • Remove and reinstall the ink cartridges to make sure they have good contact with the printer's internal connectors.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges:

  • It is recommended to use genuine HP ink cartridges designed specifically for your printer model. Non-HP cartridges might not be compatible and can cause errors.
  • HP cartridges usually contain a chip that communicates with the printer to ensure proper functionality.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait for about a minute before plugging it back in and turning on the printer.

Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts:

  • Open the ink cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to move to the center of the printer.
  • Remove the ink cartridges and gently clean the electrical contacts with a lint-free cloth.

Update Printer Firmware:

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

I hope this helps.
