printer not working and printhead error is popping up

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your HP printer is not working and a printhead error appears. The recommended action depends on the exact message shown on the front panel.
 

Common HP guidance includes:
 

  • “Printhead error: not present” → Insert the correct printhead.
     
  • “Printhead error: please remove” → Remove the incorrect printhead and install a new one of the correct type.
     
  • “Printhead error: reseat” → Remove and reinsert the printhead, and try cleaning the electrical connections.
     
  • “Printhead error: replace” → Remove and reinsert the same printhead, or clean the electrical connections. If the issue continues, replace the printhead.

Kindly share the serial number of your printer and the error message.
