Hi @Jessy247,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is printing blank pages despite adequate ink levels, the issue could be related to a clogged printhead, incorrect printer settings, or a firmware/software issue. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot.
Check the Ink Cartridges:
- Remove and Reinsert Cartridges: Sometimes reseating the cartridges helps.
- Clean the Contacts: Use a lint-free cloth and gently clean the electrical contacts on the cartridge and the printer.
- Check for Protective Tape: Ensure there’s no tape covering the ink nozzles if the cartridge is new.
Run a Printer Diagnostic:
- Access your printer settings and run a printhead cleaning cycle or a diagnostic report via the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app.
- Print a test page to see if ink is flowing correctly.
Update Printer Drivers and Firmware:
- Visit the HP Support website and ensure your printer’s drivers and firmware are up-to-date.
- Reinstall the printer software to rule out any corrupted files.
Adjust Printer Settings:
- Ensure the print settings are correct (e.g., paper type and quality).
- Verify no settings like "Print in Grayscale" or "Draft Mode" are enabled unless intended.
Check for Software or Application Issues:
- If printing from a specific app, try printing from a different one to determine if the problem is app-specific.
- Print directly from the printer's menu to rule out computer/software issues.
Clean the Printhead:
- If cleaning via the printer’s control panel doesn’t work, remove the printhead (if removable) and clean it manually. Use warm distilled water and a lint-free cloth to gently remove clogs.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait 1-2 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Retry printing.
Replace Ink Cartridges:
- Even if ink levels appear sufficient, cartridges can dry out or malfunction. Replace them with new, genuine HP cartridges.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
