I am trying to print a phot on 8.5x11 HP Advanced photo paper but the paper tray doesn't go that wide. Using the 8.5 tray allows for plain paper setting only.
How do I get to print 8.5x11 on photo paper? Plain paper setting doesn't print the same quality.

This inspired me to look at the " print settings" in the Photoshop print settings window (that also includes the print button) which I hadn't noticed, even though it was, as my mother would say, if it was a snake it would have bit me.
So actually, this was a Photoshop issue rather than strictly a printer problem. I usually printed 5x7 or 3x4, and those would go in the photopaper tray. Well, then, if that's the photo paper tray, why won't the 8.5x11 paper go in there. Ah, because it goes in the other tray and you change the print quality with the settings.
Thanks for your help, and sorry to be slow in getting back to you. Over the holidays I wasn't able to "goof around in my computer."
