Printing quality not good. Colours of images are not print.

We understand that the print quality is poor and colors are not printing correctly—we’ll help you get this resolved.

To assist you better

Could you please share the exact printer model number?
(Print quality steps can vary depending on the model.)

In the meantime, please try these basic steps:

Step 1: Check Ink/Toner Levels

  • Make sure all color cartridges (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) have sufficient ink/toner 
  • Replace any low or empty cartridges 


Step 2: Use Genuine HP Supplies

  • Ensure you are using genuine HP cartridges/toner 
  • Non-HP or refilled cartridges can cause color issues 


Step 3: Run Cleaning Utility

  • From printer settings or the HP app: 
    • Run Printhead Cleaning (Inkjet printers) 
  • This helps clear clogged nozzles affecting color output

Step 4: Print a Test Page

  • Print a Print Quality Report / Diagnostic Page 
  • Check if colors are missing or faded 


Step 5: Check Print Settings

  • While printing: 
    • Select Color printing (not grayscale) 
    • Set quality to Best / High
