HI @William03,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is printing sideways, here are a few common reasons and solutions to fix the issue:
Step 1: Check Page Orientation
- In Your Document: Make sure the document is set to the correct orientation (Portrait or Landscape) in your application (Word, PDF viewer, etc.).
- Print Settings: When you go to print, double-check the print settings to ensure the orientation matches your document.
Step 2: Adjust Printer Settings
- Open the Print Dialog: Go to File > Print in your application.
- Printer Properties: Click on the printer properties or preferences.
- Set Orientation: Ensure the orientation is set to the desired one (Portrait or Landscape).
Step 3: Check Paper Size
- Make sure that the paper size in the printer settings matches the actual paper loaded in the printer.
Step 4: Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Visit HP's Website: Go to the HP support website.
- Download the Latest Drivers: Search for your printer model and download the latest drivers. Reinstalling may fix any configuration issues.
Step 5: Test with a Different Application
- Try printing from a different application to see if the issue persists. This helps determine if it's application-specific.
Step 6: Update Printer Firmware
- Check for any firmware updates for your printer on the HP website and install them.
Step 7: Print a Test Page
- From the printer settings, print a test page to see if the issue occurs there as well.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
