@kurtmath, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printing Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP printer is experiencing issues such as printing blank pages or having stripes on your prints, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem:

Step 1: Check Ink or Toner Levels

  • Ensure that your printer’s ink or toner cartridges are not empty.
  • Replace any empty or nearly empty cartridges.

Step 2: Run a Printer Cleaning

  • Perform a printer cleaning process to clear any clogged nozzles or print heads.
  • Use the “Cleaning” option available in the printer’s control panel menu.
  • You can also create and process a cleaning page if your printer has this feature.

Step 3: Print Quality Adjustments

  • Access the Print Quality menu through the printer's control panel.
    • Adjust settings such as highlights, midtones, and shadows.
    • Modify the half-tone settings for each color if necessary.

Step 4: Print Quality Calibration

  • Run a Quick Calibrate Now or Full Calibrate Now function from the Print Quality menu.
  • Calibration helps to optimize the print alignment and quality.

Step 5: Cartridges and Print Heads

  • Remove and reinsert the cartridges or print heads to ensure they are properly seated and connected.
  • Replace any defective or damaged cartridges or print heads.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
