Welcome to the HP Community --

Some ideas...

What you see on a display screen is not always going to represent how the printer interprets the color, brightness, or hue.

The simpler explanation is when you look at your computer screen the colors are backlit through the screen -- when you look at a photo printed on photo (or other paper), the color is reflected from the print surface.

Calibration of the colors on your display MIGHT help if the source of difference is the way the screen is adjusted AND if you can visually adjust the colors to better match what might be printed on paper.  This is generally not easy -- true calibration requires professional equipment.

Vast numbers of articles have been written on the subject -- perhaps take the time to search for article that makes sense in your situation.  For example, search for "prints too dark" or similar.

On the printer side, you can make sure the printer is very clean, using new HP ink, and using decent, high-grade paper made for the task.  In the case of this printer, try HP Advanced Photo paper or similar top-shelf paper.  Be Aware of the printer's specs and paper weights.

On the software side, you can adjust the projected print output -- this is best done with decent print software meant for the task, of course.  Simpler apps and software provided by HP and other printer makers generally include some editing tools.

Reminder:  If you have been printing in "Best Quality", consider backing off to Normal quality -- "Best" tends to overload the ink -- it sounds good but might not always produce the results you expect.

On the printer side,

Make sure the printer is clean, using fresh HP ink, and is ready to do it's best work:

and

Wrong or mixed colors in prints with HP 932, 933, 950, 951-959, or 962-969 ink cartridges

When the printer has passed its print quality tests, then the rest of the process is in the hands of you managing the output to match what you want in spite of how the image displays on the computer screen.

You can, of course, have your prints professionally printed.
