-problem, white or yellow light will not illuminate when putting refill cartridge into printer. 

 

- things tried

----- reset, unplugged 60 seconds, retried, tried for an hour to get it to illuminate.

----- Used HP smart, set printer back to factory defaults in the advanced settings.

-----make sure the three contacts are clean and touching when refill kit is added. 

---- tried to do this with the computer unplugged and plugged in. 

-----hit the red "X" button

-----basically tried everything and it will not illuminate a yellow or white light next to the printer fill area. (blinking or not)
---- double checked that the refill cartridge was "143a" - i am using the HP brand refill kit.

I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer.

 

Kindly refer to the steps on this link and let me know if that fixes the issue.
