Product: HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I get an error message that the HP 950xl is not supported on this printer. When I checked further it says that this new HP 950xl is a z20 and I need only a z10. nothing on the printer cartridge says that it is a z20.
I have tried all the solutions on the HP site. I have the latest updates to the firmware and the software. I read that HP's firmware does not allow unsupported non HP cartridges to be installed. My cartridge is a genuine HP cartridge. Can I downgrade my firmware so it will accept this cartridge? I went back to the store that sells the cartridges and they said it is my problem to fix it since these are the only HP950xl that they sell.
