HP Officejet 5212
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is the "Align Print head" feature on the HP Officejet 5212 supposed to print out only in blue? Every other printer I've had includes all colors of ink. My printer worked fine until I scanned this print head alignment page (as instructed), then the black ink stopped printing. Just cleaned the cartridges, and still nothing.

@Dinahart, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

The alignment page will have all the colors. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Try making a standalone copy in color and black to check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Check the estimated ink levels and replace any low/empty ink cartridge.

Clean the ink cartridges:

On the printer, go to Setup > Tools > Clean cartridges.

Align the printhead

On the printer control panel display, from the Home screen, swipe left to see Setup and touch Setup > Touch Tools, touch Align Cartridges, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
