Like so many others, we have suddenly seen the "Indicated cartridge blocked for containing a non-HP chip" message after inserting a new cartridge, despite the fact that this new cartridge is provided by HP via an office supply store. When I try to reach phone support, I receive the message "This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."
Come on, HP, Mr. Hewlett and Mr. Packard would be red-faced if they knew about that kind of "support." And I see very few responses to recent complaints that are similar to mine.

Thanks, Andr-1611. Staples told me to contact HP. I installed a new black laserjet cartridge we received at the same time as the yellow cartridge that failed. The black cartridge produced the same error message.

We just received a black and a yellow ink cartridge from Staples today. These cartridges have the SAME problem. Considering the large number of other owners reporting the same problem, could this be a firmware upgrade problem on HP's side?
Thank you.

Hi,
I need the two delivery bills.
Scan delivery bill and then remove all personal information.
Then upload the delivery bill here.
Thanks

Not sure why a volunteer needs to see our delivery sheets from Staples. Here's a photo of the replacement cartridges boxes that we received today after returning the other cartridges as defective. We're not even opening the boxed cartridges because they'll probably fail too. Look at all the people reporting problems in the forum. HP needs to get on this now. We've tried diagnostics, updates, the works. Still we get the "non-HP chip" error message.
